Coming back to university after spending about 10 days of working -10 days of life at its realest moments, was pretty disappointing, to say the least.
I had a lot of expectations on this job, and on myself generally - but I soon learned a few things:
- I should never rely on anyone
- Sometimes adults do not act their age, or show the level of professionalism they should have shown
- Regardless, age does not matter and it should never be an excuse of your lack of effort
I hoped that I'd learn how it's like working with people much older than my age, people at the age that I would be few years from now - but really, there isn't much of a difference.
Yes, we may gossip about heavier topics - but every day felt like another group project to me
(in which I am the only one doing all the work).
